He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Paes and Erma Paes (Findley); and his brother Dale Paes. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Paes (Vanek); his children, Richard Paes, Kathy Paes, Donna (Paes), Steve Engberg and Valerie Summers (Paes); his grandchildren, Richard Paes Jr., Sean Paes, Zachary Engberg, Maxwell Engberg, Allison Engberg, Lily Engberg, Cecil, Katie Summers and Ashley Summers (Brian Snodgrass); and his sister-in-law Patricia Paes (Beach). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
