She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Calvert and Edith Calvert (Reichardt); her husband Duane O. Flom; and her siblings, Eldene Kniefl, Janice Ray Calvert, Lyle Calvert and Glen Calvert.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Cole of Newcastle, Sharon Bartee (Al) of St. Cloud, Suzane Flom of Dell Rapids and Duane Keith Flom (Birgit) of Maskell, Nebraska; her sister Janet Boutwell of Lakeland, Washington; and her grandchildren, Catherine Mitchell (Trey), Richard Cole (Leslie), Sarah Gross (Brian), Brooke Voss (Brandon) and David Newsam (Amy). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
