He was predeceased by: his parents, Thitphahn and Thongkham; and his siblings, Boualiene, Chanlit, Bounmee, Khiene and Bounleung.

He is survived by: his wife Tiang; his children, Ginny, Pho Jane and Vilaysack; his grandsons, Kobe and Simon; and his sisters, Bountung and Bounneuang. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
