He is survived by: his wife Sherry Bender; his children, Jess Bender (Katie) of Winterset, IA and Kate Torevell (Mike) of Sioux City; his brothers, Richard Bender (Marilyn), Gary Bender (Paula), Lyle Bender (Ivette) and Leon Bender (Arlene); and his sister-in-law Janet Freeman (Scott).
