He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Gibbs and Maude Gibbs (Severance); his wife Darlene Sorenson; his brothers, Leroy, Merle, Irwin and Albert; and his great grandchild Erin Knerl.
He is survived by: his children, Michael of Ponca, Kathie Knerl (Jeff) of Ponca, Susan Jammer (Bill) of Wayne, NE and Amy Coates (Glenn) of Blair, NE; his grandchildren, Dan Knerl (Paige), Andrew Knerl (Dana), Chris Knerl (Sarah), David Jammer (Reggie), Jessica Schulz (Jeremie), Katie Coates and Allie Coates; his great grandchild Sister Glenda Kuhlmann (Dale); and his siblings-in-law, Pauline Gibbs, Vivian Gibbs, Bill Sorenson and Lamont Swanson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Ponca Mai (223 W 2nd St, Ponca, NE 68770). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church (223 W 2nd St, Ponca, NE 68770).
