He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Konken and Loretta Konken (Patent); his stepfather Louis Hahn (Linda); his brother Gary Konken; and his sister-in-law Marsha Konken.
He is survived by: his children, Leon Konken of Sioux City, Iowa, Eugenia Konken of Sioux City, Iowa and Melissa Konken of Sioux City, Iowa; and his brothers, Galen Konken of Sterling and Greg Konken (Sue) of Lennex. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandson; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
