He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Rickett and Rose Rickett (Gould); his brother Kenneth Rickett; and his nephew Brian Hofferber. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Blatchford of Ponca, Nebraska; his sons, Bradley Rickett (Tracy) of Omaha and Richard Rickett (Melissa) of Tea; his grandchildren, Cecilia Rose, Oliver Leon, Benjamin Delbert, Martin Joseph and Stuart Bradley; and his sister Crystal Hofferber (James) of Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be offered to Gideons International or Quilts of Valor Foundation.
