He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Pauls and Mary Pauls (Buller); his wives, Mayvis Becker and Roberta Clark; his siblings, Gene (Erma Pauls), Irene (Gene Buller), Janiece (Albert Johnson), Leo (Myrtle Becker), Robert Becker and Johnny (Melinda Becker); and his son-in-law Jerome Petty.
He is survived by: his children, Saundra Burks of Lenoir, NC, Patricia Petty of Polk, NE and David Pauls (Becky) of Oklahoma City, OK; and his stepdaughters, DeEbra Randall (Jeff) of Omaha, Jacqueline Burns (Tracy) of Kearney, Kimberly Walkers (Carl) of Navarre, FL, Karen Roenneburg (Gary) of Georgetown, TN, Sue Horky (Tom) of Sargent, Amy White (Randy) of Sargent and Sharel Olson (Jeremy) of Randolph. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
