It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherman E Wilshusen of Polk, Nebraska, born in York, Nebraska, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Wilshusen and Ada Wilshusen (Zierott); and his brother Richard Wilshusen. He is survived by: his children, Alisha Fellows (Jason) of Stromsburg, NE, Rene' Kemling (Chuck) of Aurora, NE and Aaron Wilshusen of Kansas City, KS; his siblings, Janice Bankson (Marvin) of Polk, NE and Loren Wilshusen (LaDon) of Fremont, NE; and his grandchildren, Faith, Jayden Fellows, Britton and Lincoln Kemling. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School.

“Shorty Hahn’s parents/family/farm (Harvey and Hannah Hahn) and Sherman’s parents/family/farm (Elmer and Ada) were just 1 mile apart. In 1952, Shorty became manager of the Hordville Elevator until his retirement in 1990. Sherman and his Dad came to the elevator frequently. Shorty now 96, has a lifetime of memories with the family! Shorty and Doug enjoyed their visits with Sherm and Chuck at Sportsman’s for lunch. Sherm’s devout Faith in Jesus and Immanuel will be deeply missed by all”
