He is survived by : his children, Michael Ahlquist of Lincoln and Amanda Nelson of Lincoln; and his siblings, Pamela Libratti of Loveland, CO, Scott Ahlquist of Loveland, CO and Troy Ahlquist of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Swede Home (950 Co Rd 129, Stromsburg, NE 68666).
