He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Kennel and Florence Kennel (Shockey). He is survived by: his wife Rochelle Spelts of Polk; his daughter Jennifer Rathburn (Ryan) of Marquette, NE; his grandchildren, Taylor Eickmeier (Connor) of Aurora, NE and Jeris Rathburn of Marquette; his great grandchild Elliot Eickmeier of Aurora; his siblings, Clyde Kennel (Barb) of Polk, Josie Crowdell (Doug) of Benedict, NE and Janet Dostal (Mark) of Columbus, NE; and his pets, Simon and Danny.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Metz Mortuary (109 S Lincoln Ave, York, NE 68467). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Arborville Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
