Duane G. Koenig Obituary

The memory of Duane G. Koenig of Plymouth, Nebraska, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Koenig and Elsa Koenig (Pfingsten); and his brother Wayne Koenig (Pearl). He is survived by: his children, Duane Koenig (Debby) of Arlington Heights, Kandi Hawkins (Joe) of Beatrice, Shari Stokey (Joe) of Lincoln and Dr. Marc Koenig (Kerri) of Lincoln; his stepchildren, Dennis O'Keefe (Sue) of Odessa and Terry O'Keefe (Fran) of Belton, Missouri; his nephew Rick Koenig (Melanie) of Beatrice; and his niece Sandy Eckhoff of Beatrice. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harman - Wright Mortuary (623 Elk St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Community Church (2727 Lincoln St, Beatrice, NE 68310). Duane continued this volunteer work through every winter into 2019, until Covid.
