He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Lee; his sisters, Dorothea Grefe, Vera Duensing and Evalina Palmer; his siblings-in-law, Elmer Palmer, Werner Niemeier, Hilbert Duensing, Robert McLaughlin and Alma McLaughlin; and his sons-in-law, Wayne Reith and Jeff Reynolds.
He is survived by: his spouse Rosella Niemeier; his daughters, Linda Grefe of Fairbury, Barbara Ruhnke (Donald) of Fairbury and Karen Reynolds of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Stephanie Wetter (Bruce) of Washington, Tim Reith (Kendra) of Minden, Curtis Reynolds of New York City and Krista Reynolds of Plymouth; his great grandchildren, Abigail Reith and Mckenzie Reith; and his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Ruhnke (Lisa) of Lincoln, Jacob Ruhnke of Jansen and Amber Pliefke (James) of Garland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
