He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Phillip Wassinger and Lola Elizabeth Wassinger (Life); his brothers, Michael Wassinger and Benedict Wassinger; and his sister-in-law Ruth Wassinger.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sister Diana Buhrman (Larry); his sister-in-law Arlene Wassinger (Mary); and his children, Kristine Placek (Keith) and Andrew Wassinger (Erica).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Spirit (520 S 18th St, Plattsmouth, NE 68048). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Johns the Baptist School (520 S 18th St, Plattsmouth, NE 68048).
