He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Bud" Hefling and Helen Hefling (Stallings); and his brother Bill Hefling. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Hefling of Plattsmouth, NE; his sons, Larry Hefling II (Kristie) of Blair, NE, Christopher Hefling of Omaha, NE and Eric Hefling (Diana) of Maryland; his grandchildren, Shawntea Gordon (Travis), Justin Hefling, Kimber Andersen (Nick), Alexus Hefling, Gaven Hefling and Jazmine Von Tersch (Thomas); and his sisters, Margi Walz of California and Patty Beall (Virgil) of West Virginia. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Larry's honor may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
