He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Junia; and his siblings, Dorothy, Delores, Robert, Alberta and Willie.
He is survived by: his wife Norma; his children, Carrie Briles (Dennis), Dan Patterson (Doreen), Duane Patterson (Michaela) and Jeff Patterson; and his brother Richard (Linda). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
