He is survived by: his wife Doreen Mayer of Plattsmouth, NE; his children, David Mayer Jr. (Susan) of Council Bluffs, IA, Kevin Mayer (Lisa) of Omaha, NE, Mark Mayer of Bettendorf, IA, Faith Ann Mayer of Bellevue, NE, Danielle Coffelt (Chad) of Plattsmouth, NE and Deidre Donoho (John) of Plattsmouth, NE; his grandchildren, Cole Mayer, Seanna O'Connor (Tommy), Miranda Mayer (Katrina Wulf), Alexis Mayer, Max Mayer (Amani), Megan Donoho, River Moss, Aiden Coffelt, Eric Coffelt and Shawn Donoho; and his siblings, Carl Mayer (Debbie) of Brockton, MA and Patricia Benallick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
