He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sorensen and Reba Sorensen (Holmes). He is survived by: his wife Bernita Oltjenbruns; his children, Michael Sorensen (Deb), Joel Sorensen (Cynthia), Beth Petersen (Darin), Stanton and Ruth Vyhlidal (Jon); his grandchildren, Nicole Sorensen (Noel Voborny), Rachel Sorensen, Stephanie Sorensen, Bret Sorensen (Sara), Monica Holle (Nick), Steven Petersen (Casandra), Jason Petersen, Cody Vyhlidal and Caitlyn Vyhlidal; his great grandchildren, Austin and Logan Sorensen; his sister Berdeen Joyce; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Oltjenbruns (Earline), Marvene Oltjenbruns and Vernetta Oltjenbruns. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
