He is survived by: his wife Grace Kleinschmit of Menominee, NE; his children, Debbie Mauer of Columbus, Stacie (Gene Reuter) of Norfolk, Amanda Votta (Shon King) of Norfolk, Gene (Jean Mauer) of Norfolk and Kelly (Lisa Mauer) of Plainview; his grandchildren, Sarah (Eric Freudenburg), Micah Mauer, Emma Mauer, Derek Mauer, Bailey (Colten Kemp), Lane Reuter, Savannah Leistritz, Makario Leistritz, Geovanny Leistritz, Xavier Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez, Mercedes Leistritz, Nia Votta, Braylon Votta, Katie Mauer, Mallory Mauer, Aaron Mauer and Erica Mauer; and his great grandchildren, Cory Freudenburg, Elise Freudenburg and Kinsley Kemp. He is also survived by 18 Grand children and 3 great-grandchildren.
