It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steve Pieper (Pickrell, Nebraska), born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlan Pieper and Marie Pieper (Hoefling); and his stepfather Leroy Bartels. He is survived by: his wife Sheri; his children, Jarod Pieper, Jamie Beerenstrauch of Pickrell, Janelle Maybee (Tyler) of Lincoln, Tyler Pieper (Haley) of DeWitt, Brandon Goff (Courtney) of Cortland, Ben Goff and Maci Reeves of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Rylan, Bryson, Josilyn (Grayson), Jackson (Hunter) and Briar (Baylor); his sister Jeanette Burlie (Todd) of Wichita; and his stepsiblings, Ron, Bill, Clint, Matt and Jana Bartels. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date due to the current pandemic situation.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home and First State Bank in charge.
