With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Albert Buhr of Pickrell, Nebraska, who passed away on August 21, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Buhr and Jennie Buhr; his son Bruce Buhr; and his parents-in-law, Tady, William Schlake, Bill Schuster, Johnny Lieneman, Willard Lenners, Geraldene Walman (Buhr) and Marie Oltman (Buhr).
He is survived by: his significant other Karen Buhr (Schlake); his children, Kim Folkerts (Alan) and Mark Buhr (Christy); his grandchildren, Jeremy Folkerts (Jenny), Amber Lovitt (Jason), Aaron Folkerts (Holly), Chad Buhr (Liz) and Taylor Buhr (Dalton Smith); his great grandchildren, Kaden, Macoy, Brecken, Cooper, Kipton, Karsen, Presleigh, Grayson and Jake; his siblings, Ervin Buhr, Arnold Buhr (Lois), Jeanie Lenners and Erma Schlake (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Myrna Johnson Schlake (Raymond) and Gene Schlake (Marcia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a long life full of friends.
A memorial has been established to Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell or to the family for future designation with Terry Johnsen and Gary Gronewold in charge .
