He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry LaPlant and Muriel LaPlant (Achey); his siblings, Henry LaPlant and Pat Tobeck; and his brother-in-law Phillip Virkus.
He is survived by: his spouse Dorrie Friedrich; his sons, Joe Avechuco (Mayel) of St. Paul, MN, Jason LaPlant of Anytown, U. S. A. and Jeff LaPlant of Auburn; and his siblings, Sally Virkus, Mike LaPlant (Kookie) and Tim LaPlant (Marie). He is also survived by other relatives, and many friends.
