She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Abendroth and Selma Abendroth (Krueger); her husband Frank Prokop; her sons, Ronnie Prokop and Duane Prokop; her sisters, Alvera Ludwig (Martin), Luella Abendroth, Dorothy Gerwick (Willis) and Elaine Schmoldt (Raymond); and her brothers-in-law, Jerry Neiburg and Lee Schink.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Prokop (Shirley) of Wayne, NE and Gary Prokop (Maria) of Pender, NE; her grandchildren, Teresa Foix (Jason), Tanya Prokop (Ryan Heiden), Gary, Jr. Prokop (Claudia) and Frank Prokop; and her sister Shirley Schink of Oakland, NE. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A prayer was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
