He is survived by: his wife Lori Bentjen of Pender; his children, Mike Bentjen (Gretchen) of Papillion, Brad Bentjen (Melinda) of Waverly and Pam Peters (Matt) of Pender; his grandchildren, Bailey Bentjen, Adam Bentjen, Natalie Bentjen, Hannah Leddy (Fernando Lopez), Ethan Leddy, Seth Leddy, Brant Peters (Dakota), Logan Peters, Braden Peters, Easton Bentjen, Sam Bentjen, Ellie Bentjen and Evan Bentjen; his great grandchildren, Wyleigh Peters, Ryatt Peters, Alma Lopez-Leddy and Luigi Lopez-Leddy; his siblings, Sara Sue Larson (Eric) of Homer, Nancy Johnson (Dave) of Pender, Eleanor Baier of Pender and Chuck Bentjen (Donna) of Beatrice; his mother-in-law Phyllis Thomsen of Pender; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Glissman of Papillion, Martin Christiansen of Lexington, Keith Thomsen (Jane) of Pender and Bev Novak of Pender. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
