She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Samson and Phyllis Samson (Blair); her sister Gloria Samson; her stepsister Carolyn Bornhoft; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Thomas (Clifford Peters).
She is survived by: her husband Layton Smith of Pender; her children, Nancy Beckman (Bob) of Pender and Steven Smith (Jill) of Pender; her grandchildren, Ryan Beckman (Christy) of Ashland, NE, Eric Beckman (Dana) of Pender, Sara Sorensen (Phil) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Tony Smith (Mackenzie) of Pender; her sisters, Marcille Thomas of Wayne and Jane Olds (Ron) of Lincoln; and her stepsisters, Judy Peters, Carla Watson (John) of Lincoln and Budd Bornhoft of Albuquerque, NM.. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
