She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Williams Seeley of Virginia and Walter Austin Seeley; her nephews, Jan Spencer of Peru, Indiana, Randy, Leslie Spencer of Pheonix, Kelly and KeliAn Frates of Dalhart, Texas; her husband Gerald Ray Frates; her daughter Cheri; her brother Oris Seeley; her parents-in-law, Ray and Lila Frates; and her nephew Tim Frates.
She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Frates-McMahon; her granddaughters, Savanna and Harper McMahon of Paxton; her son-in-law Chuck Tapia of Lakewood; and her nephew Stan.
A memorial has been established in Virginia's memory for the Nebraska Children's home society in Omaha, Nebraska.
