He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ratzlaff and Frances Ratzlaff; his siblings, Anna, Mable, Agnes, Grace, Katherine, Bearnard, Enos and Franklin; and his stepson Paul Befort.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Befort of Sutherland; his stepson John Befort (Barbara); his niece Jamie Franco (John) of California; and also Carol Befort of North Platte. He is also survived by three step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren.
