He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Befort and Florine Befort; and his siblings, Oliver, Duane, Ronald, Donald and Valeria.
He is survived by: his wife Ardell Murray; his children, Vonnie Hebblethwaite (Larry) and Greg Befort (Jessica) of North Platte; his stepson Steven Kapperman (Becky) of Friend, NE; his sister Judy Bedford (Robert) of North Platte; and his sisters-in-law, Bev Befort of North Platte and Delores Befort of Colorado. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Memorials are to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
