He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Wiemers and Virginia Ottesburg (Cookus); his brother Robert "Bob" Wiemers; his daughter Katie Wiemers; and his father-in-law Kenneth Hager.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Hager; his foster parents, Opal, Dennis and Sue; his sons, Matt, Mallory, Cody and Luke; his siblings, David, Sharon, Carol, Karen and Cindy; and also, Dale, April, Scott, Daa, Peggy, Kenny and Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
