He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Rother and Ethel Rother (Whalen); his daughter Shannon; his brother Johnny (Charlene); and his nephew Dustin.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn "Kathy" Hancock; his children, Jeremy (Jodie) and Nikki; and his grandchildren, Xander, Toria and Hayden. He is also survived by his ten brothers and 6 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Vets from the Army's 101st Airborne Division.
