He was predeceased by: his father Ervin Reil; and his siblings, Tracy Reil and Troy Reil. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Reil; his wife Jill Reil; his stepsons, Jared Grell, Nicholas Grell (Alyssa) and Nathaniel Grell; and his brothers, Jason Reil (Kayla) and Bryan Reil. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Operation Barbecue Relief, PO Box 414378, WS #198, Kansas City, Missouri 64141; or Town and County Humane Society, 14110 S. 84th Street, Papillion, Nebraska 68046, in memory of Craig Reil.
