She was predeceased by: her parents, German Immigrants Henry and Emma Degen; her husband Francis J Luis (Nebraskan) of Columbus, NE; and her siblings, Roy Degen, Olga Nester, Julie Degen, Alice Padgett, Esther Boganowski, Elvera Kay, Doris Degen and Henry Degen (Hank).
She is survived by: her daughters, Leisa Luis Grill (Rob) of Rochester, Laura Luis Higginbotham (Devon) and Lynette Luis of Newport Beach, CA; her grandson Preston Higginbotham of La Vista, Nebraska.; and also Jim Garrett. She is also survived by 2 brothers and 6 sisters; she was the second youngest of 9 children.
