He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Swanson and Hazel Swanson (Irwin); his wife LaVera J. Place; and his siblings, Helen Geneva and Elon Swanson.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin "Butch" Swanson (Lorene), John Swanson (Teri), Beverly Kilkemeier (Al) of Grand Island and Carolyn "Sue" Walters (Bill) of Omaha; and his brother Carl Swanson of Simpsonville, SC. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
