He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Brunkhorst and Lorene Brunkhorst (Duhm). He is survived by: his daughters, Raelyn Brunkhorst of Wauneta and Kari (Brian Sprenger) of Sidney; his grandchildren, Peyton and Taylor; and his sister Dianne Rowe (Robert) of Colorado. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be given to the Palisade Ambulance Crew in Dennis' name.
