He was predeceased by: his daughter Tracy Rohde; his siblings, Jim Holmes (Evelyn), Donald Holmes, Jerry Holmes and Leah Hunt (Dillard); and his brother-in-law Byron "Barney" Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Holmes of Overton; his sons, Brian Holmes (Debbie) of Sutherland, Nebraska and Kirk Holmes (Sonya) of Richfield, Nebraska; his son-in-law Bruce Rohde of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Lynn Fast, Heather Maxcy, Terra Zuellner (Heath), Joshua, Landon, Vincent, Colton Holmes, Brax Rohde, Levi and Caleb Waldon; and his sisters, Viola Hunt of Loup City and Betty Jo Johnson of Lacy, Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial has been established in Roy's honor, and kindly suggested to Gideons International or to the Lexington Berean Bible Church.
