He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Holbein and Esther M. Holbein (Hansen) of Overton, Nebraska.; his parents-in-law, Archie and Mary Petersen; and his grandchildren, Carter Edward, Caden Eugene and Hadee Marie Holbein.
He is survived by: his wife Donna K. Petersen of Lexington; his children, Denise, Daryn, Dahlas, Amy Holbein of Lexington, Nicole Holbein of Okmulgee, OK and Greg Behrends of Hastings, NE; his grandchildren, Carson and Ava Holbein of Lexington; and his brother Dean (Barbara Holbein). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; many cousins; and numerous friends.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Children's Hospital in Omaha or the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
