He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Roettger and Sophia Roettger (Ruge); his siblings, Duane Roettger and Colleen Thayer; his brothers-in-law, Hans Sauberzweig and Richard Kuenning; and his nephew Martin Sauberzweig.
He is survived by: his sisters, Joann Sauberzweig and Karen Kuenning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home - Syracuse Chapel (644 Park St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (726 Second St, Otoe, NE 68417).
