He was predeceased by: his parents, James Patterson and Lena Patterson (Gordon); his daughter Sandy Patterson; his siblings, Mae (Emory Orr), Marjorie (George Orr), Winnie (Rosco Roberts), Nellie (Tom Loyd), Lillian (Duane Robinson), Dorothy (R. C. Fischer) and William Patterson; and his nephew Merlin Orr.
He is survived by: his wife Ione Beckley (Becky); and his sister-in-law Alice Patterson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Oshkosh United Methodist Church.
