He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm "Bill" Martin and Bernice Dietz (Richardson); his son Michael Dietz; and his siblings, Cecil Dietz and Agatha Schultz.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Dietz of Orleans; his children, Patricia DiPiazza (Paul) of Silver Springs, Maryland, Dennis Dietz (Edna) of Orleans, Timothy Dietz of Orleans, Jodi Horwart (Doug) of Orleans, Karen Lennemann of Holdrege, Nebraska, Tony Dietz of Orleans and Gwendolyn Schoenthal of Kearney, Nebraska; and his sister Shirley Aten of Crofton, Maryland. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Bill's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
