Lorraine Humes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine Humes of Orleans, Nebraska, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Smith and Clara Smith (Merklein); her husband LeRoy E. Humes; her daughter Melinda; her grandchildren, Tracy Humes and Ashlie Humes; and her siblings, Charlene Rodregez, Wayne Smith, Wilma Miracle and Genevive Bohl.
She is survived by: her sons, Randy Humes of Orleans and Edwin Humes (Dena) of Elizabeth, Colorado; her grandchildren, Terry, Randi, Eric and Travis; her great grandchildren, McKayLynn, Isabella, Dallas Jo, Archer, Kailey, Madilynn, Brently, Alli, Arianna and Titus; and her great great grandchild Casey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home - Alma (404 John St, Alma, NE 68920). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:35 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in Lorraine's honor and kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
