He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy O. Carr and Erma Carr (Ballard); his sisters, Alice Schmidt and Thelma Russell; his nieces, Kathy Russell and Sandy Jansen; his sister-in-law Earllaine Krumm (Pat); and also, Earl and Maudie Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Carr (Collins); his sons, Roy Carr (Carolyn) of Omaha and Brad Carr of Omaha; his grandchildren, Bronwen Carr, Marian Schacke (Grady), Michael Carr (Jessica), Kristen Carr and Bergan Schumacher (Dan); and his nieces and nephews, Lloyd Russell, Douglas Russell, Bradley Russell, Jan Strooza (Larry), Caroline Krumm and Alan Krumm (Debbie). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
