He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shelhamer and Verdella Shelhamer (Benda); and his siblings, Paul Shelhamer and Linda Shelhamer Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Peg Shelhamer of O'Neill; his daughters, Carrie Hahlbeck of O'Neill and Laurie Hansen (Greg) of Amelia; his grandsons, Brian Hahlbeck, Jason Hahlbeck and Nicholas Hansen; his sister-in-law Marilyn Shelhamer of O'Neill; and his pet Cali. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A rosary will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (330 E Benton St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the O'Neill Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to his family for future designation.
