He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank H. Ertz and Stella Ertz (Sharp); his grandson Anthony Ertz; and his siblings, Frank V. Ertz and Eileen Ludemann.
He is survived by: his children, Laura (Don O'Bryan) of O'Neill and Brent (Angie Ertz) of O'Neill; his wife Anna Marie Ertz of O'Neill; his children, David Ertz, Raylene of O'Neill, Garett, Trevor, Cheyenne, Martina, Allen Ertz of O'Neill, Britnee, Easton, Hunter, Allee and Pyper; his grandchildren, Codey, Zeb, Cassandra, Madison, Brandon Hopson and Doreena Hopson; and his sister Sharon "Toots" Hrbek (Carson) of Norfolk, NE. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Butch Ertz.
