It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Schmaderer of Oneill, Nebraska, who passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Schmaderer and Frances Schmaderer (Feilmeier); his sister Marlene Sargent (Schmaderer); and his grandchildren, DJ Holguin and Emerson Schmaderer.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Schmaderer (Hynes); his son Wayne Schmaderer (Eunice Schmaderer) of Colorado Springs, CO; his parents-in-law, Doug Schmaderer (Kathy) of Covina, CA, Michele Spainhour (Kevin) of Huntington Beach, CA, Chuck Schmaderer (Lori) of Omaha, NE, Greg Schmaderer (Ranae) of Omaha, NE and Jeff Schmaderer (Jenny) of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, LaVonne Kulus (Schmaderer), Maurice Schmaderer, Karen Baker (Bob), Rich Schmaderer (Emmy) and Doris Young (Schmaderer). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorials in Jerry's honor may be made to O'Neill St. Mary's Catholic School or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
