With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Scott Murphy of Oneill, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 55. He was predeceased by: his father Calvin J. Murphy. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Murphy (Howard) of O'Neill, NE; his siblings, Pat Murphy, Tom Murphy of O'Neill, NE and Donna Hilkemeier of Broken Bow, NE; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Hilkemeier (Chantelle) of Ericson, NE, Abby Hilkemeier of Broken Bow, NE, Ashley Cool (Nick) of York, NE, Brandon Campbell of Inman, NE, Jenna Slaymaker (Dustin) of O'Neill, NE, Michaela Hilkemeier of Boise, ID and Matt Murphy (Jade) of O'Neill, NE. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and several other relatives and close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A rosary was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (346 E Benton St, O'Neill, NE 68763).
