He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Wheelock and Nancy Wheelock (Fischer); his son John Exner; and his stepfather Gary Hopper. He is survived by: his daughter Tina Deitemeyer (Tim) of Fargo, ND; and his siblings, Randy Wheelock of Fremont, Vanessa Fischer (Dick) of Fremont and Paula Pratt of Colorado. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
