He is survived by: his close friend Mike Wees; his grandson Carson; his wife Christy; his children, Ryan Benis (Besty), Lyssa Benis (Justin Hatcher) and Jodi Edwards (Robert); his stepchildren, Sydny (Zach Leinbaugh) and Austin Harris (Abbey Schiemann); his grandchildren, Christian, Taylor, Ciara and Wrigley; his sisters, Karen Zieg and Lynnette Ivaskevicius (Tony); and his friends, Mike Hanson, John Czyz and Doug Madsen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends.
