He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, JoAnne Adkins (Oetting) and Dr. Nathan R. Adkins; his wife Kathy Adkins (Vais); his sisters, Julie Shields (Mike) and Suzanne Wingert; his niece Leah Shields; and his nephews, Guy Elsberg, Nickolas Elsberg and Samuel Wingert.
