With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruby N. Jones (Omaha, Nebraska), born in Nashville, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruby left this world on December 5, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Ruby departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruby may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruby leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aguinaldo Jones and Ruby Clardy; and his wife Naomi Jones. He is survived by: his son Anthony Jones (Sesany Fennie-Jones); his daughter-in-law Bonita Sirls; and his grandchildren, Andre Jones, Bradley Jones, Anthony Jones II (Abby Jones), Britne Moss, Brittney Fennie and Justin Ellis. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and a host of devoted nieces, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roeder Mortuary (4932 Ames Ave, Omaha, NE 68104). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Street Church of Christ (5922 Fort St, Omaha, NE 68104).
