Ankenbauer of Omaha, Nebraska, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Ankenbauer and Anne M. Ankenbauer (Daley); and his sister Rebecca. He is survived by: his children, Michael Ankenbauer (Sarah Hall), Sarah Robinson and Jeff Ankenbauer (Sarah); his grandchildren, Katie, Ramona, Van, Natalie and Odin; and his siblings, Laurie Fields (Dave), Angela Ankenbauer, Martyn and Daniel Ankenbauer (Kathy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
